Glenn R. Slicker, age 62, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Aultman Hospital.
Born on May 8, 1962, in Canton, Ohio, Glenn was born to Kara Lynn (Jones) Sprankle and the late Richard G. Slicker. He was a proud 1980 graduate of Louisville High School. After graduation, Glenn took to the open road, pursuing a career as a truck driver. Most recently, he was employed by Paul Adelman Trucking in Randolph, Ohio.
Glenn lived life on his own terms. Whether behind the wheel of his rig or riding his Harley motorcycle, he embraced the freedom of the road and the adventure that came with it.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Perlee and Vera Slicker, and Richard Jones (Helen Applegate); his father, Richard G. Slicker; step-father, Earl Sprankle, step-mother, Gladys Slicker, and his aunt, Jean A. Slicker.
Glenn leaves behind cherished memories with his mother, Kara Lynn Sprankle; sister, Sandy (Todd) Jones; nieces, Nanette (Patrick) Mortier and Abi Jones; and great-niece and nephew, Ellyana and Colton Mortier.
Visitation will be held on Saturday April 19, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sanders Funeral Home, a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with an inurnment at Mapleton Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Donations can be mailed to:
