Sad to see the news. Have known Murray since the 1970s when I came back home from law school. Other lawyers at the court house knew him better than I have but, enough to be sad of his passing. Some of his friends at the courthouse referred to him as Murray, so the same with me and - he was a nice guy and we had a few good conversations.

My life-long friend beginning at college in the 60's at Murray State, later apartment roommates in Louisville and through-out our respective careers. Also served to represent my firm through the years. A naturally born and gifted attorney, who always `knew the rules“ in whatever he did. Totally unpretentious, highly intelligent, fabulously insightful, a great listener, a tremendous dry wit and unique sense of humor and an infectious laugh. One of our last conversations included his story about his borrowing a fishing boat from a friend and on the way back to Louisville trailering the boat, after running over a bump in the road, seeing the boat and trailer passing him on the left! Many, many fond memories will live with me forever. Butch will be missed by all who knew him... and most of all by his family who he dearly loved. My sincere sympathy goes out to them.
