Glenna Lummus Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel on Dec. 15, 2025.
Glenna Marie Lummus was born on July 16, 1939, and passed from this life on December 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Glenna was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She loved the Lord and her family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of faith lived out through action, generosity, and a warm, enduring sense of humor.
She was a faithful member of Rancho Village Baptist Church, where her church family held a special place in her heart. Glenna found great joy in reading and studying her Bible, continually growing in her faith, often with Alan Jackson playing softly in the background. Her days were also filled with cross stitch, jigsaw puzzles, and word searches.
A proud Oklahoma Sooners fan, though she would also cheer on the Cowboys, Glenna enjoyed old westerns, especially Gunsmoke, and frequently kept TBN on, filling her home with messages of hope and God's unfailing love.
Glenna attended Elk City High School and graduated with the Class of 1958. She later put her skills to work as a seamstress for a collegiate cap and gown company and for Covers Plus. She loved family gatherings of any kind, whether holidays or simple meals, and cherished seeing her family gathered around the table. She had a kind and giving heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.
She enjoyed traveling when she had the opportunity, especially with her children, and was grateful for the chance to take part in a mission trip to Chile. She also loved sharing a meal of Mexican food, particularly at San Marcos.
Glenna touched many lives through her humor, kindness, and love for others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Beth Corley and Diana Lakatosh and husband Edward; sons, Gary Corley, Clark Lummus and wife Carlene, and Craig Lummus; her brother, Doyle Neely; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melissa Hall, and her sisters, Lois Jean White and Joy Fern Griffin. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Glenna, please visit our floral store.
