Glenna Jean Marple, 75, of Dry Run Road, Burlington, WV, died Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland, MD.
Born on August 14, 1947 in Frostburg, MD, she was a daughter of the late Olen Cavey and Hilda (Bittinger) Cavey Sewell. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel P. "Danny" Marple, Sr. on January 8, 2014 and her brother, Gary Cavey.
Mrs. Marple has worked alongside her daughters at the Burlington Cafe for the last 18 years.
Surviving are her children, Shawn D. Marple and fiancee Debbie, Daniel P. Marple, Jr. and companion Cheryl, Kimberly S. Dorsey and Shelly R. Everett and husband Troy, all of Burlington; two grandchildren, Megan Frazier and Cody Dorsey and Mike Dorsey of Burlington, who will always be a part of the family. Also surviving is her sister, Sharon Sue Arnold of Oakland, MD, as well as several nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and her constant cmpanions, "Ellie Mae" and "Ophelia."
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Wendell Everett officiating.
Private interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser, WV.
Condolences and personal reflections to the family may be left after Mrs. Marple's obituary at smithfuneralhomes.net.
