CONGERVILLE – Glenna J. Rinkenberger, 66, of Congerville, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at her home in rural Congerville. She was born on June 7, 1958, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to David and Lois (Timm) Marquardt. Glenna married Daniel "Jake" Rinkenberger on March 6, 1977, in La Crosse, Indiana. Surviving is her husband, Daniel "Jake", of Congerville; children, Isaac (Melissa) of Inwood, IA, Grant (Rachel) of Goodfield, Alex of Congerville, Anna (Brad) Knapp of Keystone, IN, and Charlotte of East Peoria; 19 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Marquardt, and one brother David (Terri) Marquardt. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Lois Marquardt, and sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Larry Bennett. Glenna was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, baking, reading and cherished any time spent with family. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church of Congerville at the Dells, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 26. Church ministers will officiate. A visitation for family will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. and for the public from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. There will also be a visitation from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Monday, prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Goodfield-Congerville Apostolic Christian Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Congerville Fire and Rescue or to a charity of choice. Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
