Gloria Dawn Abercrombie was born on August 2, 1942, in Whitesboro, Oklahoma, to Everett and Naomi McElyea.
She was a retired business manager for Abercrombie & Sons, Inc., a respected highway and bridge contracting company in Oklahoma.
Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Abercrombie. She is survived by her brother, Dennis, and sister, Diann; two sons, Kent and Mike; three stepchildren and their spouses, Dennis, Kelly, and Tammy; and her grandson, Timothy, whom she and Charles lovingly raised from toddlerhood. She also leaves behind grandchildren Nathan and Natalie, and great-grandchildren Maddy, Rachel, Mavrick, Denver, and Adalyne, as well as her two faithful furry companions, Andy and Sadie.
In her retirement, Gloria discovered a love for art, creating beautiful watercolor paintings inspired by nature, especially flowers and birds. Those fortunate enough to own one of her pieces will cherish it always. She was also a passionate gardener, finding joy in nurturing life and watching it bloom.
Gloria will be deeply missed by her cherished friends from the Pressing On class at Quail Springs Baptist Church, The After Church Group, and the Village Women’s Group.
