Gloria Castro, a cherished homemaker and beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 72. Born on October 20, 1952, in Palau Coahuila, Mexico, Gloria touched the lives of many during her time on this earth.

Throughout her life, Gloria exemplified the virtues of love and kindness. She was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, always ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and well-fed. Her warm and inviting personality made her the heart of the Castro household. Gloria held a special place for her faith, with church being an integral part of her life, instilling values and traditions that she lovingly passed down through generations.

Gloria is survived by her loving children: Ana Castro and Jesus Ordonez of Port Arthur, Maribel Castro Sandoval and her husband Juan of Port Arthur, Jose Castro and his wife Cynthia of Port Arthur, and Altagracia Guzman and her husband Joel. She also leaves behind a remarkable legacy in her grandchildren: Erika Castro and her husband Fernando, Emily Castro, Jose Luis Castro III, Jasmine Hernandez, Luis E. Hernandez, Jesus Ordonez, Maribel Sandoval, Joanne Sandoval, Juan Sandoval, Jose Sandoval, David Sandoval, Abraham Sandoval, Joel Eliu Guzman and his wife Bernice M, Adrian Guzman, Jacob Alexandro Guzman, and Jaaziel Elias Guzman. Her great-grandchildren, Kataleya Irasema Hernandez, Alejandro Hernandez, and Leyla Elena Guzman, will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Gloria is also remembered by her siblings: Juana Reyes, Manuel Reyes, Santos Reyes, Pedro Reyes, Alfredo Reyes, and Diana Reyes, who shared in the joy and memories of their time together.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, Jose' Luis Castro Torres, as well as her parents, Pedro and Encarnacion Cruz Reyes.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will take place on March 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral H0me, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX. The funeral service will be held the following day, March 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM, concluding with a gathering of loved ones to celebrate her remarkable life at Calvary Cemetery in Port Arthur, Texas.

A lo largo de su vida, Gloria demostro las virtudes del amor y la bondad. El servicio fúnebre se celebrará al día siguiente, 26 de marzo de 2025, a las 10:00 h, y concluirá con una reunión de seres queridos para celebrar su notable vida en el Cementerio Calvary de Port Arthur, Texas.
