Gloria Louise Chilson passed away in Stockbridge, Georgia on March 5, 2024, at the age of 65. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico on February 11, 1959, to Hurley Leonard Fulmer and Patience Mae Fulmer.
She graduated from Morrow High School in 1977. She met the love of her life, Carl "Joe" Chilson, while the two of them worked at Dodson Steel Products and they married on November 5, 1979. They celebrated 44 years of marriage before her passing. She was fondly called "Glo" by all who knew and loved her. Her favorite activities were sitting outside, listening to music, and drinking wine with her husband. She loved to mow the grass on her "fancy" zero turn lawnmower and their annual visits to Naples, Florida. She loved her two dachshunds Bella and Buddy. She will be remembered for her laughter and smile, her strength, her compassion for others, and the love she had for her family.
She is preceded in death by her father and older brother, Melvin Don Fulmer. She is survived by her loving husband, Carl Chilson; daughters, Abby Lynn Chilson of Colorado, and Ashley Nicole Gardner (Joshua Michael Gardner) of Texas; three grandchildren, Peyton Lyric, Lincoln Reese, and Lawson Ryan; as well as her mother and her siblings. She will be sorely missed.
We are in the process of arranging her Celebration of Life and will announce the details soon. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Gloria, please visit our Tree Store.
