Gloria J. Kemper

Gloria J. Kemper, 94, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Penacook Place in Haverhill.
She was born in Los Angeles, CA, on April 9, 1930, daughter of the late William and Mildred (Lawrence) Kemper.
Mrs. Kemper graduated from Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra, California and graduated in 1948 from Los Angeles State College.
In Gloria's life, she lived on both the East and West Coast, plus for a number of years in Shelbyville, Indiana. But New England had her heart, she loved living in Massachusetts and vacationing in Belfast, Maine. Gloria shared her love of Belfast with her children and grandchildren with walks on the beach collecting seashells and roasting marshmallows for s'mores.
Gloria enjoyed a plethora of hobbies including volunteering at her Church's thrift store and Hospice while living in Indiana.
She enjoyed crafting, sewing, puzzles, reading, and gardening. She also had a love of animals; Gloria always had a story to tell about her pets - especially the chickens she had growing up. She passed on the same interests to her children, and they would share stories of the crafts they were working on, pass along a completed puzzle, even share the latest boxed DVD set of Downton Abbey.
Gloria was once asked what her most important life accomplishment was, she shared that "I've raised six good and healthy children of which I am very proud. The family she leaves behind, starting with her children, are Becky Z. Cornair Hodge and her husband Ronald Hodge of Oregon, Jerry B. Conair of El Cerrito, CA, Toni L. Conair Clark and her husband Craig Clark of Hawaii, Melody C. Russo Walsh and her husband Kenneth of Atkinson, New Hampshire. Monica M. Russo of Billerica, Massachusetts, and Laura M. Faria of Lawrence, Massachusetts. She was the loving grandmother to her 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convivence of the family. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill~Bradford.
