Gloria M. Kublin of Delray Beach, Florida, formerly of Randolph. Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024 at the age of 91, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Devoted daughter of the late Ada and Harry Pitchel. Beloved wife of Richard Kublin. Loving mother of Marcy Kublin of Needham and Lisa Haas of Newton and her husband Bob. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Whelihan and her husband Michael, and Lindsay Siegal. Great grandmother to Liam and Finn. Dear sister of the late Marty Pitchel. Gloria leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gloria grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts and was a graduate of The Jeremiah E. Burke High School. She was very proud of being a "Jerry" girl. She was involved in many club activities during her high school years. She enjoyed her career as a bookkeeper. Gloria loved animals, and always had a special place in her heart for her family dogs (her little boys). In her spare time, she was an avid reader, and had a huge library of novels that she enjoyed lending out to her friends and family. She had an enormous, sweet tooth and always had a variety of candy lined up in bowls beside her that she liked to share with anyone who came to visit. Gloria was a singer and had a beautiful voice and loved to entertain. Music was a very important part of her life. She enjoyed playing poker and always looked forward to her Tuesday night poker club. Gloria will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Gloria's funeral service will be held at noon, Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Schlossberg Family's Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
Shiva will be held at the Haas residence in Newton on Wednesday immediately following the burial and continuing Thursday, noon to 4PM.
