Gloria "Dolly" Pack

Caribou- Gloria (Dolly) Pack, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Caribou, Maine in 1936, the daughter of Herman and Rose (Williams) Holmes.
Dolly will be remembered for her cooking talents and the love of family. She loved to cook and is also noted for her canning skills. Many will remember her for her spaghetti sauce and Chinese ribs. If you had a canning or cooking question, she was always happy to help and answer your question. Her recipes were cherished by her family. Her children were blessed by a handwritten cookbook that she created just for them. Although, she would never share her spaghetti sauce or rib recipe.
Her love of family was expressed by her weekly Tuesday night family potluck dinners. There was always a lot of food, family, cousins, aunts, uncles, kids & family friends.
For many years Dolly worked with her husband Earl, at Earl's Frozen Foods as a meat wrapper. She also owned Dolly's Subvilla, which had the best sub sandwiches in the county. Anyone remember "The Destroyer Sub", her best seller?
Dolly was a member of the Caribou Assembly of God Church. She loved and appreciated her entire church family.
Dolly is survived by her children, two daughters, Birdena (Pack) Paul and her husband Greg, Bonnie Pack, and a son Gregory Pack and his wife Sue. She will be missed by her six grandchildren. Amie Paul, Scott Paul, Tyler Makepeace, Brandi Makepeace-Cote, Danielle Ouellette, and Jacob Pack, along with sixteen wonderful great-grandchildren.
Dolly is predeceased by her husband, Earl, after 71 years of marriage and her eight siblings. She was the last family member of her generation.
Calling hours for family and friends is at 10AM Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Caribou Assembly of God, 116 Sweden Street, Caribou. The funeral service will take place at 11AM. Following the service, interment will take place at Riverside Ext. Cemetery in Washburn. The family invites you for a time of fellowship at the Caribou Assembly of God Church Activity Center following services.
