Gordon Walter Heslor, age 76, went home to his Lord and Savior on March 24, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 28, 1946 in Brockport, New York to his parents Arthur J. Heslor and Lena Adams Heslor.
Gordon was a loyal, admirable, honorable and selfless man. A loving father, husband and an outstanding grandfather. He was a New York Volunteer Fire Fighter in his younger years. Later in life, he worked in the electrical sales industry, where he never met a stranger and formed life-long friendships.
He dedicated his time to family and loved his granddaughters Katie and Gg to the fullest. He was a believer in Jesus Christ and enjoyed his church family immensely. He was an avid reader, a competitive Scrabble player and was always good for a joke or two. He has touched many lives during his 76 earthly years and will be tremendously missed by his family.
Gordon is predeceased by his parents, brothers Richard and Douglas Heslor and sister Sandra Mullins. He is survived by former wife and friend Kathy Little of Huntsville, TX; son Todd (Brenda) Heslor and three grandchildren of Alden, New York; sister Arlene Warren of Akron, New York; daughter Kristi Lara and husband Heath of Huntsville, TX; step-son Johnny Hall of Gilmer, TX and granddaughters Katie Aden and Gavrielle (Gg) Flisowski of Huntsville, TX.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, TX at 2:00pm. Memorial condolences to the family may be made at www.shmfh.com.
