Gordon K. Pringle

UINTAH – Gordon K. Pringle passed away at the age of 76 on June 27, 2015 in Ogden, Utah from complications related to Parkinson's disease and Dementia.  His fun sense of humor kept us all laughing until the very end.

Gordon was the son of John M. Pringle and Madeline Chatelain.  He grew up in Uintah and graduated from Weber High School.

He served in the Army Reserves at Fort Ord, CA.

Gordon married Beverly Bohman on May 2, 1958.  They had four children, then later divorced in 1989 but always kept a good friendship.

He began working for the Internal Revenue Service in 1957.   He worked as a Tab Machine Operator, Computer Programmer, Supervisor, and System Analyst.  He received several awards for his performance.  He retired in 1995 after 37 years of service.

He spent several years serving on the Uintah Town Council.

Also for many years he and his family were in charge of lighting the "U" on the mountain for the "U Day" celebration.  The work was hard and tiring but he did it for the love of the town and the people.

Gordon was the Uintah Cemetery Sexton for 32 years.  He spent many years updating the cemetery by planting grass, improving the roads and upgrading the mapping system.  He took a lot of pride in everything he did.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing, snowmobiling, and especially loved boating and water skiing.  You could always find him at the Bay on any given Wednesday in the summer…and then some.

Gordon is survived by his children, Bret (Julie) Pringle, Bart (Lesa) Pringle, Cindy Parkinson (Max Call), Wendy (Corey) Winn; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and his brother, J. Kenneth (Anna) Pringle.

The family is very grateful to Mountain Ridge Assisted Living and Envision Home Health Care and Hospice for the personalized care they gave.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Uintah Cemetery.
