Grace Morris Collett, 89, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at her residence.
Born August 29, 1934 in Roswell to the late Glen and Bertha Morris, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 25 years. Mrs. Collett retired as a teller with Wells Fargo Bank following 44 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, operating a booth at the Farmer's Market, playing BINGO, fishing and working in her flower gardens. Grace was very devoted to her family. A member of Amicalola Baptist Church, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Garlon Collett; sisters, Neal Moss, Marjorie Few; and brothers, Hugh Morris, Aubrey Morris, Raymond Morris, and Barnard Morris.
Surviving are her sons and daughters in law, Bruce and Debbie Collett, Dawsonville, Stanley and Ginger Collett, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Morgan and Kyle Warner, Stanley Collett, Jr., Heidi Collett, Caroline Collett; great grandson, Maddox Warner; sister and brother in law, Jean and Travis Marks, Alpharetta; sisters in law, Willora Morris, Alpharetta, Janice Collett, Cumming; brother in law, Charles V. Reece, Dawsonville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, 2024 at 11 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Randall Cagle will officiate. Interment services will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell at 1:30 p.m.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 8 at the funeral home.
