Grace Dove Duckworth was born on 01/15/1945 in Tampa, Florida. Her fondest childhood memories were living in Japan as a small child and spending time with her father (retired Colonel in the Air Force). She passed away on July10 2025 after a short illness in the hospital. Grace was always sweet, reserved, generous and a great listener. She gave to any charitable organization when asked. She loved her children, grandchildren and 7-month-old, great grand-daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Leigh Sharp (Jeff) and two grandsons, Rowan Allen BIrd and Gavin Leigh Bird (daughter in law, Taylor Bird) and great grand-daughter, Dove, JD Sharp and great grand-daughter Ellie Kate, Harrison Sharp and great grand-son Rhett and Lane. Son, Ted Duckworth (Cherry), Grandchildren-Palmer Duckworth, Alexandra Duckworth, John Pearce Robertson and Carolyn Teddi Duckworth, her brother, Roy Dove (Dianne) and her sisters, Penny Herbage (Jerry) and Beki Burk.

Her predeceased family members: Mother (Grace) and Father (Roy).

Grace worked much of her life as a legal assistant. The last 12 years, she worked at Duckworth Realty as a receptionist. She greeted everyone warmly and was affectionately referred to as the, "office mom". She was always sitting at her desk with her bible nearby. She loved her church and spent the majority of her free time at St. Philips. At St. Philips she served on the vestry (clerk for number of years), diocesan transition committee for the 11th bishop of Mississippi, was a lay eucharistic minister and various other rolls. As one church member stated, Grace helped build and maintain the parish with her hard work, her big smile and her presence. St. Phillip's wouldn't be the same place it is were it not for her. She took great pleasure in her grandchildren and was in the process of knitting a beautiful and intricate Christmas stocking for her great granddaughter, Dove. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

We are so appreciative of the congregation of St. Philip's that provided her with so much love and fellowship and took their time to sit with her in the hospital over the last few weeks.

A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. July 12, 2025, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall.
