Grace Clinton Gunderman

Grace C. Gunderman, age 91, formerly of Pitcairn, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Golden Heights Personal Care Home. Grace was the loving mother of Kathryn L. Soles and the late Kelly L. Wagle; beloved grandmother of Maryl, Ian, and Trista; dear great-grandmother of Eleanor and Vera; and cherished sister of Elizabeth. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lavina Clinton. Toward the end of her life, she was fortunate to have the support of her dedicated son-in-law, Howard Wagle, and the DAO Memorial Foundation. Grace was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and worked as an English teacher at Gateway High School for many years. She was the favorite of many students and developed a variety of courses to pique their interest. At the end of her life, Grace enjoyed the company of her two devoted dogs. She also continued to contribute to the community by knitting dozens of scarves to donate to local churches and schools.
Arrangements entrusted to the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950). Services will be private.
