My first memories of Grace are of her warmth and open heart, which she generously offered alongside my Uncle Fred when I first arrived in the United States. Their generosity allowed me to reside at their home for a few precious and formative months before embarking on my college journey. Grace went above and beyond a mere relative; she became a cherished guide. She patiently listened while I spoke broken English, correcting me when necessary. Amidst the laughter that my accent often brought about, especially with my three cousins Michelle, Larry, and Jeanette, I discovered a sanctuary in Grace's presence. Our conversations spanned topics from American lifestyle to movies, TV shows, Persian culture, and more.
Elegant, gentle, kind, and generous, Grace was more than family; she was a treasured friend. Her culinary prowess added warmth to our gatherings, with unique twists on Persian dishes and unforgettable Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts.
During my graduate studies, Grace crafted a beautiful Afghan for me - a testament to her skillful hands. This cherished gift now holds not just physical warmth but the enduring warmth of her love and care.
As the seasons changed, and life followed its course, I had the privilege of visiting Grace one last time in the recent past with my wife Azam who was also very fond of her. Though she may no longer be with us in the physical realm, her spirit, laughter, and love will endure. In the tapestry of our lives, Grace's thread is woven indelibly among all who came to know her - a testament to a life beautifully lived and a soul deeply loved.

For Grace, the elegant western bride of the family, whose framed wedding picture adorned the mantels of every close relative, and who later came to serve as the proxy mom to their offspring—doing it all with an open heart as she embraced everything that entered her rich life. Your legacy spans wide and far.

My Aunt Grace
My aunt Grace's generosity was reflected in her fantastic dinners, her warm afghans and especially that time she gave me a place to stay for a bit while I was looking for an apt in college.
In later years I enjoyed her humor whether laughing at the cat or sitting on the patio feeding the critters.
May she rest in peace.

My prayers and condolences are shared with the Kalantari family for the loss of "Mom". I didn´t know her name was Grace because Michelle always talked about "Mom"! What a beautiful name for an individual so loved and cared for by her family. Michelle, you have been so steadfast and loving in your care for Grace. Peace be with you as you carry forward all the memories of the times that you shared together.

Deepest condolences to the Kalantari family.
My thoughts go way back to Thanksgivings at Grandma Dahlberg´s home in Four Corners/Trade Lake Wisconsin, where Aunt Grace and her sisters (Bunny was my mother) would gather around the piano and sing. They really made the holidays joyous events. Rest in peace Aunt Grace. Vic Marotta
