Richard Crowell

Richard Crowell, age 75 of Hopkins, Minnesota, Dick passed away on September 7, 2025, leaving a legacy behind of kindness, laughter and love. He was born on July 29, 1950 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Crowell and Dorthy (Bennett) Crowell and his sister, Janet Thompson. He is survived by his sister, Jean Tormey, his beloved daughter, Hilary Crowell (partner Becca Abuza), and his partner, Mary Beth Brody. Dick earned his civil engineering degree from the University of Massachusetts and his MBA from Northwestern University. After working in corporate America for 20 years, he founded his own environmental cleanup company which he successfully operated for over 20 years, and of which he was extremely proud. Dick loved spending time with his family and friends. His other passions included traveling (visited all 50 states and over 60 countries), attending rock concerts, and spending time with his Golden Retriever, Millie. Dick will be sorely missed by many. A celebration of Richard's life will be held at 2pm Sunday October 26th at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 West 50th Street, Edina. 952-920-3996
