Grace Jones Pearce, 81, of Princeton went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, November 29, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 17, 1943 in Cleveland County, North Carolina to the late Clyde Wesley Jones and Mary Geneva Brooks Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Jones Hollowell and brothers, Kenneth "Deacon" Jones and Steve Wesley Jones.
Grace was a long-time member of the Princeton Church where she served in the nursery for many years and also was a member of the choir. She enjoyed traveling with her best friend and sister-in-law, Faye Jones. Grace loved to go and listen to Southern Gospel Music, especially the Social Security Boys. Grace and Frank, her husband of 58 years, provided an example of a Godly marriage and Christian home for their children and grandchildren. Her family was so very important to her. Christmas was her favorite time of year where she showered her entire family with abundant love and with gifts. Most of all Grace loved her Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Pearce; daughter, Angie Pearce Proctor and husband, Bruce of Pikeville; son, Jim Pearce and wife, Jeanne of Princeton; grandchildren, Jared Pearce and wife, Baylee; Maryssa Worley and husband, Ryan; Madelyn Proctor; Ian Speight and wife, Kelsey; and Noah Speight and wife, Michaela; sister, Frances Roberts of Hiddenite; sisters-in-law, Faye Jones and Paula Jones; special nieces and nephews, Kathi Jones, Ken and Donna Jones, Dale and Lisa Jones, Tina Jones Winborne, Keith and Lisa Roberts, Danny Ray Roberts, Sandra Roberts, and Stefanie and Jason Patel; and many special friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Princeton Church. The funeral will follow at the church beginning at 7:00 pm officiated by Pastor Matthew Cornett. A graveside service will be held at Princeton Cemetery at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
Flowers are always welcome or if friends should desire to contribute, Grace requested they be given to the Princeton Church nursery where she served for many years. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.caseyfh.com.

I wanted to share this photo of Gracie when she and Frances came to see their cousin, Betty Brooks Reid, my mother. Mama was so happy to see them Sept. 27, 2019. This was the last time they were together. Gracie was always smiling and making people feel good. Mama loves her Brooks family and though Alzheimer's has taken a lot of her mind, she can still recognize family photos and remember their names. I pray the beautiful memories of Grace will bring comfort to the family in the difficult days ahead. And we will all one day meet again in our heavenly home. To those who read this and do not know, the first lady is Frances Jones Roberts-sister to Grace; then Betty Brooks Reid-1st cousin to Frances and Gracie. We are so sorry to hear about Grace and regret we were not able to attend. Please know you will be in our prayers.
