Grady Deshae Shanley, 15 of Grady AR passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas. He was born September 13, 2008 in Pine Bluff to Mark and Tiffany Blakemore Shanley. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Monticello and was a Summit Soundz Band member. He was a 10th grade student at Star City High School, where he was in the band (All Region Clarinet), on the Archery Team, member of the Beta Club and the National Society of High School Scholars. He loved traveling, gaming, reading books, enjoyed computer coding, and Pokemon Go.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Alice Shanley; and his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Claudette Blakemore.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Tiffany Shanley of Grady; 5 brothers, Ryan (Pebbles) Shanley of Alaska, Christopher (Mickey McMullin) Shanley of Ohio, Elliot Shanley of Oregon, Joseph Shanley and Blake Shanley, both of Grady; and 4 sisters, Nina (Andrew) Rhoton of Texas, Katarina (Josh) Via of Pine Bluff, Elysse Shanley of Oregon, and Emma Shanley of Grady.
Visitation is 5:00-7:00PM Friday, August 23, 2024 at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Funeral services are 10:00AM Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Burial to follow at Grady Cemetery.
