Graig Allen Cote, 64, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025. He was born on January 27, 1961 in Orlando, Florida. Graig was an amazing Author, Speaker, and Educator. In 2001 he attended Columbus State and received an Associate's Degree in Applied Science Mental Health. He then went on to Ashford University where he graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology, and then earned his Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University. He worked from 2005-2014 at The Ohio State University as an Adjunct Facilitator. He loved teaching and connecting with students. He also worked as a Realtor helping families find the home of their dreams. Graig loved volunteering. He was the co-chair on the Equitas Pharmacy Advisory Committee. He also was the Chair of the Community Advisory Board for the AIDS Clinical Trial Group with OSU. He was proud of being the Board President for the Ohio AIDS Coalition. He took pride in being a representative for the LGBTQ+ community and being an advocate for people. He was the proud author of "My Life Through a Lens." In his free time, he enjoyed playing softball and volleyball. He also enjoyed coaching and cheering. He is preceded in death by father Alton Cote and aunt Eileen Perdew. Graig is survived by loving mother Beverly Cote; sisters Cris (Brian) Scott, D'Lana Donaldson, Elena (Dennis) Nicodemus, and Feona Morgan; brother Hal (Daisy) Cote; uncle Joseph Beirau; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; dear friends Eric Duff and Mary McMichael; extended family and a host of friends. Graig never knew a stranger, and will truly be missed by all who knew him. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 14, from 4:30pm – 7:30pm.

So very sorry to hear about Greg´s passing. He was a wonderful, intelligent, hard working man.
Greg was the manager of the Reynoldsburg varsity Volleyball team that I coached. He was so helpful in every way. An excellent athlete and person.
He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Virtual hugs and prayers for his family.
