Grant Clark Jr., of Slidell, Louisiana, left this earth on February 28, 2023 at the age of 59. He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on August 13, 1963. Grant was preceded in death by his parents, Grant Clark Sr. and Carolyn Valance, and his beloved sister, Lisa Whitten.
Grant was married to and survived by what he called his best friend and his main reason for living, his devoted wife, Katherine "Kathy" Clark. Together they shared many adventures and travels. They also shared a love for many things including taking long rides on their motorcycle and spending as much time together as possible.
Grant is the cherished father of Dustin Clark (Hailey), David Hackney (Jessica), and Alexander Hackney (Alexis) and proud grandfather of Kaleb, Kole, Nick, and Jetsen. He will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Although he loved all of his nieces and nephews, he always held a special place in his heart for his niece, Brittany W. Ladner, who they joked "should've been a cowboy."
Grant made a lasting impression on anyone he met and had a wide circle of friends. Together, they shared some unforgettable times. Whether it was working on a project car or just hanging out telling "lies", he always had fun.
Grant was a master plumber by trade and enjoyed drag racing, motorcycles, and working on classic cars. He loved his family dearly and treasured the time he spent with his grandsons. Grant will fondly be remembered as a great man, good friend, and wonderful husband. He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Grant's life on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are preferred. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
