His Legacy Grant James Thompson, 73, passed away at home on May 26, 2023. He was born on October 7, 1949, in New London, Connecticut to James Angus Thompson and Joan (Danz) Thompson. Grant married the one and only love of his life, Carol (Galloway) Thompson, on December 22, 1972, in Grayling, Michigan. He will be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Grant was a very hard worker and loved to play softball, golf, competitive table tennis and playing the guitar when he was younger. He enjoyed watching his Boston sports teams in his spare time and walking his dog, Dharma. Grant was very proud of his children and loved his beloved wife Carol. They were married for 50 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family wants to thank the Brighton Trinity Health Cancer Center and Trinity Hospice for everything they have done for Grant and the family. They could not have gone through this process without them.
His Family Grant will be missed by his wife, Carol; his children, James (Beth) Thompson, Martel (Fred Clifford) Thompson; brother, Michael (Karla) Thompson; grandchildren, Benjamin Thompson and Connor Thompson. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Joan Thompson.
