Gregory William Haerr, age 63, Joplin, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Mercy of Joplin.
Greg was born October 11, 1961 in Toledo, OH, son of the late William Donald Hoerr and Mary Janet Evans Hoerr. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1980, and worked for General Mills of Joplin for over 32 years. He was a fun-loving man who loved his family and friends very much, and never met a stranger. He enjoyed golfing and working on fast cars. He was known for his cooking, and loved his children and grandchildren very much. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel of Joplin.
In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Jack and Hazel (Cornell) Gates.
Survivors include his wife, Cherrie M (Gates) Haerr whom he married October 15, 1988; son, Jeremy Michael Thomas (Terra) of Rogers, AR; daughter, Ashley Marie Moore (Jon) of Victor, ID; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hazel Moore, Orion Thomas, and Saya Thomas; sisters, Jacie Lois Wemer (Terry) of Joplin, Jennifer Rebecca Reinholt of Wilmington, N.C., step-mother, Shirley Hoerr; nephews, Dalton Wemer (Cameron) and Dylan Wemer (Kate).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Calvary Chapel of Joplin, 4899 E. 7th Street, Joplin with Pastor Jeff Kingery officiating.
The family will receive friends at Calvary Chapel on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Joplin Humane Society.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
