Gregory S. Anacki of Bridgewater passed away on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with leukemia. He was 70 years old.
Greg was born in Middleboro and was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater. He graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School in 1972. During high school and for a while after high school, Greg worked at his uncle's restaurant "Anthony's Charcoal Pit" where he met his wife, Debbie. The two began dating and later married in May of 1986. Greg and Debbie settled down in Bridgewater where they raised their family. He was very proud of his stepson Rob and his twin boys Josh and Jason. When the boys were young Greg was always involved in their sports and coached many of their teams throughout the years. After he left Tony's restaurant, he went to work for the United States Postal Service where he retired from in 2017 after being diagnosed with Leukemia.
Greg was an avid Patriots fan; he was a season ticket holder for over 50 years and was fortunate enough to attend two Super Bowls. He and Debbie loved to travel and considered Aruba to be their "second home". Greg spent many summers camping in Marshfield as a child and later bought the family camper, which he's remained at for over 50 years. He loved seeing his kids grow up near the ocean and was fortunate enough to finally buy his cottage on the beach, "My Sunshine", which they purchased last fall. Greg was a long-time member of the Bridgewater Polish Club. He enjoyed trying his luck at various casinos. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
Greg lived simply and was a man of few words. He loved his family immensely, and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Greg is predeceased by his parents, Andrew Anacki, Sr. and Phyllis (Blanchard), his brothers Daniel (Tank) Anacki and Andrew Anacki, Jr., his niece Danielle Anacki, and his uncle and godfather, Anthony Anacki.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Anacki (Crowley) of Bridgwater. He was the cherished father of Joshua Anacki and his wife Allisen of Taunton, Jason Anacki and his wife Ashley of Kingston, and stepson Robert Gardner and his wife Barbra of Erie, CO. Adored grandfather of Tyler and Katelyn Gardner, Violet Anacki, and Connor Anacki. Devoted brother of Mary Landry and her late husband Richard of Waltham, Jean Costa and her late husband Timothy of Waltham, David Anacki and his wife Katie of Bridgewater, and brother-in-law of Michelle Anacki of Bridgewater. He also leaves behind his family dogs, Oakley, Veda, and Cooper, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family would like to send a special thank you to "Elizabeth", his bone marrow donor. "Without Elizabeth we would not have had as much precious time with Greg as we did". You will never know what you did for our family.
