Gregory Allen Burns, known affectionately as Greg, was born on April 20, 1979, in Philadelphia, PA. Greg went home to heaven on February 2, 2025, to help cheer on and bring a Super Bowl victory back to Philadelphia. A charismatic spirit, he could light up any room with his infectious laughter and irresistible charm. Greg was not just an ordinary man, but a generous soul whose love and loyalty knew no bounds. He was a man who never married, but his heart was always filled to the brim with love for his family, his dogs, and his city.
A devoted employee at SEPTA, Greg's determination was, a testament to his energetic nature and zest for life. His love for his city extended to his unwavering support for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Off the field, Greg was an avid player of darts and bowling. His evenings were often filled with the joyous barks of his three dogs, Louie, Maggie and Irwin, the enthusiastic cheers of his nephews during a Phillies game, or the friendly competition of a dart game with friends. His life was a beautiful blend of love for his family, devotion to his pets, and dedication to his hobbies.
Greg is survived by his father, Tim Burns, mother, Donna Burns, brother, Ryan Burns, nephews John Flood Jr., Shaine Flood, Mason Flood, Hunter Flood, aunts Aileen Morton and Debbie Colyer, and Godmother Debbie Swisher-Rivell. He is preceded in death by his loving sister, Jennifer Burns. His loving spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

I remember how adorable and sweet Greg was when he was a little boy. This sweetness stayed with him throughout his life. He was a gentle soul with a bright smile. May his beautiful spirit continue to touch the lives of those who knew him. May he rest in peace and be reunited with his dear sister. Marlene Adler ( childhood friend of his mother, Donna).
