Gregory Dushane Obituary
Born May 28, 1955 in Monroe, Greg was the son of the late Merle and Evelyn Jean (Jack) Dushane.
A 1973 graduate of Monroe High School, Greg was a member of Monroe Council 1266 Knights of Columbus, an associate member of the SSIHM, and former member of St. Michael Catholic Church where he was involved its "We Care" program.
Greg was a fan of University of Michigan Football and Detroit Tigers Baseball, and enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbors.
Greg is survived by a brother, Mark (Joan) Dushane of Lambertville, MI and special niece, Sally (David) Birkmeier; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Greg was preceded in death by his father; his mother, Jean Toeppe, and step-father, Donald Toeppe.
Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation, burial, and funeral arrangements. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Rosary Care Center Chapel located on the Lourdes University Campus in Sylvania. Date and time of service will be made available via the funeral home website.
For the wonderful care and compassion given to Greg preceding his passing, the family would like to thank Jeanine at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and the staff at Rosary Care Center.
For anyone wanting to make a donation in Greg's memory, the family suggests supporting Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Monroe Council 1266 Knights of Columbus or the IHM Motherhouse.

Not sure you remember me from highschool and Holiday Home Camp. I have not lived in Monroe for over 50 years but touch base periodically with local news as such. I saw that your brother has died and thought of you. It is never easy having someone close die and realize how quickly we all enter into history. Know that you are in my thoughts and know too that, even though brief and now seemingly long ago, you are part of my history which I remember as being quite happy and mostly carefree.
