Timothy Shrout Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stith Funeral Homes - Florence on Jan. 27, 2026.
Timothy Alan Shrout, 65, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, entering a place of peace, joy, and eternal love – still larger than life in our hearts.

He was born on October 27, 1960, in Monroe, MI, graduated from Monroe High School, and then attended Michigan State University. He loved Monroe and the many lifelong friendships he developed during that time. In 1993, Tim married Brenda, the love of his life, and together they raised two amazing children. Tim enjoyed working in all areas of Real Estate for over 30 years. He was a realtor with Keller Williams, in addition to doing what he loved most - building houses with his son through their company, EDG.

Tim loved spending time with his family. He loved nature, listening to music on the deck (especially to his favorite band, Jethro Tull), he loved watching Big 10 football - he was a Spartan fan through and through. Tim loved food! Whether it was grilling the perfect steak or visiting one of his favorite restaurants (Monroe's Original, Josies, and Chef Hip E's, to name a few), he definitely made sure to never miss dessert!

Tim had a huge presence and a unique sense of humor, which we will miss immensely. We are unbelievably thankful for the time that we had with Tim here on earth, and we look forward to honoring his memory and keeping him alive in everything we do.

Tim leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Brenda Kincaid-Shrout, Union, KY; His son, Ben (Ashley) Shrout, Union, KY; his daughter, Elizabeth (Taran) Stephenson, Cold Spring, KY; and his brother, Tom (Cheryl) Shrout, Aurora, OH. Tim also leaves behind his precious grandson, Jackson Shrout; mother-in-law Lillian Kincaid; and countless extended family members, friends, clients, and co-workers, all of whom will miss him terribly.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Della Shrout.

A visitation will be held for Tim on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 2 pm until 4 pm at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US-42, Florence, KY 41042. A service will be held immediately following the visitation at 4 pm at the funeral home. Tim will be laid to rest next to his parents in Sharpsburg, KY, at a later date.
