GREGORY "GREG" ILL

Gregory "Greg" F. ILL "The Tire Guy", age 78, of Plymouth, formerly of Centerville, passed away on Sunday, June 29th, at Falmouth Hospital. He was the devoted husband of 55 years to Nancy A. (Gould) ILL.
Loving father of Eric M. ILL of Hyannis, and Gretchen M. Arvanitopoulos and her husband Dimitrios "Jimmy" of Osterville. Cherished grandfather of Nikolaos D. and Gregory D. Arvanitopoulos. Beloved brother of Sandra L. Massaro of Orange Park, FL, and brother-in-law of Joe Massaro of St. Augustine, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and several lifelong dear friends.
Born in Chelsea, MA on January 2, 1947, Greg was the son of the late John H. and Rose L. (Sfferraza) ILL. He grew up in Malden and was a proud graduate of Malden Catholic High School and Boston College. In 1970, Greg married Nancy, and together they settled in Centerville to raise their family.
Greg began his career with Michelin Tire in the early 1970s before joining Cape & Islands Tire in Hyannis, where he worked with dedication for over 37 years.
A passionate collector of classic cars, Greg especially enjoyed his Austin-Healey and Porsche. He also had a deep interest in WWII fighter planes. His gentle spirit extended to the neighborhood wildlife-squirrels and birds that he faithfully fed every day. Greg also had a well-known fondness for ice cream.
A celebration of Greg's life will be held at a later date.
