On June 25, 2025, Gregory Allen Kelly passed away at the age of 75 years. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life.

Gregory was born April 2, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Raymond Kelly, Sr., and Leola Kelly Hawkins, and step-son of Edward Hawkins, Sr.

Gregory graduated from Boys' High School in 1968. He then attended community college and later joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union #3. In 2022, he was celebrated as a 50-year member.

In 1969, at London Records in Manhattan, Gregory met a stunning young lady named Patricia Maria Dunn. They fell in love and got married on January 22, 1972, in Brooklyn, New York. This union was blessed for 53 years, and they lived in New York, Illinois, and most recently settled in Delaware. They loved to travel, host family and friends at their homes, and shared endless moments of joy and laughter. This union was blessed with the arrival of a daughter named Kimberly Monique.

Gregory worked as an electrician on numerous high-profile projects throughout the five boroughs of New York, most notably, the original World Trade Centers. He could also be found at the homes of family and friends, helping with electrical projects with Kim as his apprentice.

Gregory had a deep love for music, dancing, and playing the piano, with "Boogie Woogie" being one of his favorites. He was also an avid dog lover. Growing up, he loved to play stickball and baseball with his brother and friends.

Preceding him in death are his father, Raymond Kelly, Sr., mother Leola Kelly Hawkins, step-father Edward Hawkins, Sr., brother Michael Kelly, father-in-law Reginald Dunn, and mother-in-law Thelma Dunn.

Those left to cherish his memory, honor his legacy, and celebrate his life with love are his beloved wife Patricia Kelly; loving daughter, Kim Winslow (C. Linwood); his cherished grandchild, T. Gregory Kelly; siblings, Dyane Ingram, Raymond Kelly, Jr., (Robin); Pamela Easton, Robyn Julian Hawkins (Ray Linwal), Kim Hawkins, and Edward Hawkins, Jr. (Towanna); brother-in-law, Michael Dunn; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family remember him with love.

Romans 8:28 was a cornerstone of his faith and life. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."

Gregory will be deeply missed by all of us who knew and loved him. He had a kind heart, a caring spirit, and a loving nature that made a difference in everyone's life he touched.
