Gregory "Greg" Allen Lafferty age 54 passed away suddenly in his home in Oak Hill WV on August 2, 2024. He was the son of the late John and Betty Lafferty. He was preceded in death by brothers Mark, Travis, Carlos, Jeff, and Joey "Joe" Lafferty.
Born on September 5th, 1969, in Oak Hill West Virginia, Greg was known for his kind heart and boundless curiosity. Greg was a simple man, who never wanted for much and was known for his kind heart, he would give you the shirt off his back. Greg loved being outside sometimes all day just enjoying nature's beauty and taking it all in, going on long walks, and enjoying lively conversations with those around him. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting for ginseng, squirrels, and fishing with his brothers. He had a very outgoing personality, and he was always in good spirits. He loved his family and enjoyed being around them creating lasting memories. He will truly be missed by those who loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his last surviving brother John Lafferty. Sisters Robin Lafferty-Strong, and Becky (Walt) Smith. Special sister-in-law Celestial (Celest) Lafferty, who was devoted to caring for Greg and ensuring he led a life full of joy and happiness. Aunt and Uncle Charlotte Smith and Charles (Portia) Robertson. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews all of whom Greg loved and cherished.
In keeping with Greg's wishes he will be cremated, and no services will be held.
