Gregory Lamping Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stith Funeral Homes - Florence on Dec. 8, 2023.
Gregory Arthur Lamping was born August 4, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky and went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2023 in Edgewood, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur F. Lamping Jr., and his mother Doris Elizabeth Lamping of Louisville, Kentucky.
He is survived by his two sons and their wives, Joshua (Jess), Jacob (Brittany), and their mother, Sarah. Along with his siblings, Bonnie (Dave) and Jeff (Carolyn), companion Beth, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and grandchild on the way.
Greg was a friend to all he came across. Through his years he loved playing golf, racquetball, and fantasy football with his family and friends. He worked at ADP for 30+ years, and after he retired, he spent his time vacationing and setting the golf pins at his local golf courses. Greg was a supporter of everything Louisville Cardinals, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals. Greg also enjoyed being involved in all his sons' sporting teams, whether it was coaching their knothole baseball teams or keeping stats at Ryle High School. Greg graduated from Seneca High School in 1973, followed by graduating from Eastern Kentucky University in 1977.
A memorial service for Greg will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Stith Funeral Homes at 7500 U.S. Hwy 42, Florence, KY 41042.
