Gregory "Greg" E. Leach, age 82, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on August 14, 2024. Greg was born on July 30, 1942, in Pontiac, Michigan. He attended Pontiac Central High School and Wayne State University. Greg served his country as a member of the Army National Guard, an experience that instilled in him a strong sense of duty and patriotism. After his service, he dedicated his career to the real estate industry, working as a Realtor and Broker. Over the years, he held various positions, including builder, loan officer, and manager, where he made a significant impact on those he worked with and the community he served. He was also a proud member of the Optimists Club and generously volunteered his time to various charities throughout his life.
Outside of work, Greg was passionate about the outdoors. He found joy in fishing, boating, hiking in the mountains, and traveling to new places. His love for nature and adventure was a defining part of his life. On April 28, 2007, Greg married Leanne Leach, with whom he shared many happy years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Leanne Leach; his son, Christopher Gregory Leach; his daughter, Jennifer Kristen Leach (Plumb); his cherished grandchildren, Anthony Cornell, Michael Cornell, Gabriel Cornell, and Jaylen Leach; and great-grandson, Holden Cornell. Greg was predeceased by his mother, Marcella Oltesvig (Leach), and his stepfather, Richard "Dick" Leach.
A memorial service to celebrate Greg's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale. Chaplain Paul Fredericks will officiate the service, and a reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
The family extends special thanks to Eileen Barry for the beautiful flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, https://hov.org/donate/donate-now/ in Greg's memory.

Had plenty fun times up north in Oscoda glad got to meet you Greg. You were like family when we were up there always working or outside staying busy. The nicest man I had ever met. Your soul was like no other. I inspire to be like you one day all the things you´ve told me, & everything I know you´ve accomplished in your lifetime. Until we meet again. RIP. Always in our hearts, never forgotten. -Vella family

Greg was the nicest man I had ever met. We rented from him last 4-5 summers in Oscoda Mi beautiful place & he was always there for anything we needed. Just a beautiful soul. Always outside working doing something or just enjoying fresh air. We´d crack jokes & laugh at night around the bonfire he was like family. RIP always in our hearts, never forgotten
