Greg is survived by his parents: William "Bill" and Janet Jones of Assumption, IL; sons: Seth (Mckinsey) Reber of Taylorville, IL; Caleb Reber of Taylorville and Jarod Reber of Taylorville; grandchildren: Ali Dubay, Tyler (Keila) Aydt, Ariel Dubay, Mason Reber, Avery Reber, Braden Reber, Raelyn Reber, Remy Reber, Olivia Curll; Great-grandchildren: Ezreal Ishmael, Harper Cheairs; Daughter-in-Law: Alicia Smith of Taylorville, IL; brother: Bill Jones of Taylorville; brother-in-law: Ron Emerson of Assumption, IL; mother of his children: Pamela Ballinger of Virden, IL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister: Rhonda Emerson and Grandson: Nicholas Reber.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Travis Bodden officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family C/O: Sutton Memorial Home 327 N. Clay St. Taylorville, IL 62568.

So sorry for the Reber family. I always remember in the 80's feeling Greg and Pam were the quintessential family, beautiful to watch. Greg was a great guy and barely knew a stranger. He took in my son in the 90's and watched over him during a rough teen year, asking nothing in return. He always had the ability to make you feel important during any conversation, even if bumping into him in the convenience store. Very sad loss for his family, friends and neighbors. .................Julie Lyerla, Hagerstown Maryland.
