Gregory (Greg) D. Shiflett, 53, husband of Cheryl Rogers Shiflett, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital after a courageous 5-year battle with colorectal cancer.
Greg was born in Spartanburg, SC, on February 12, 1972, and was the son of William & Evelyn Shiflett. Greg was a beloved husband, father, son, papa, and brother who enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
Greg was a 1990 graduate of D.W. Daniel High School in Central, SC, and went on to work at Schneider Electric (Square D) in Seneca, SC, and then 3M in Greenville, SC
Greg loved to fish and hunt, and watch Clemson Tigers football.
In addition to his wife, Greg is survived by his son Dylan Shiflett (Eve) and granddaughter Eden of Six Mile, SC; Sisters Debra Wilhoit (Joe) and Peggy Wright (Barry), both of Liberty, SC. Bonus children and grandchildren: Brandon & Nacoda Galloway (Waylon, Hartley & Haven Madison) of Six Mile, SC, and Brady Galloway (Kristie, Matthew & Rhett) of Pickens, SC.
Greg was preceded in death by his precious daughter, Madison Shiflett Galloway, father William Odell Shiflett, and brother Michael Shiflett.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Mile Creek Baptist Church in Six Mile (104 Lakeside Dr) followed by a private family memorial. Feel free to wear Clemson colors.
We would like to recognize the infusion team at Seneca’s Prisma Cancer Institute. They were an important part of Greg’s cancer battle for 5 ½ years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Foothills c/o Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation, Mile Creek Baptist Church or St Jude.
