With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gregory Joseph Sullivan, who left this earthly world on January 29, 2025, at the age of 48, in Charleston, South Carolina. Though his time with us was far too short, he filled every moment with love, kindness, and unwavering strength.
Greg was born in Prescott, Arizona on August 27, 1976, to Daniel Joseph Sullivan and Sharon Kaye Dunham. He was raised on a horse ranch in Chino Valley, AZ. As a child, friends were very important to him. He maintained those friendships throughout his life.
At the age of eight, Greg worked alongside his parents in their Chino Valley Mini Mart. This began his later career working in the convenience store industry. He was very outgoing and made sure nobody was ever a stranger, making easy conversation and being open-minded and accepting of all. Greg loved the diversity of the convenience store industry and the many people he met in all walks of life. After working for several different convenience store companies and moving all over the United States, his last position was as District Manager of Operations for EnMarket in South Carolina. He enjoyed his work and did all he could to meet the needs of an ever-changing market.
Greg was an avid collector of antiques and rare coins. He enjoyed visiting estate sales and auctions. He also had a great love of music.
Greg's family was his greatest pride and joy. As a single father of four, he met the love of his life Stephanie Marie Francis in 2009 in Lehi, Utah. Together, they blended a family and added two more beautiful children. Greg was the heart and foundation of his family. His presence brought warmth to every room, his laughter was contagious, and his wisdom was a guiding light for all who knew him. Through unimaginable obstacles, he showed what true strength, perseverance, and love look like.
He lived his life with purpose, inspiring everyone he met with his generosity, resilience, and boundless love. Whether he was offering a helping hand, sharing words of encouragement, or simply making someone smile, he left an unforgettable mark on the lives he touched. In all things, he was a selfless man, always putting the needs of others before his own. His love knew no bounds, and he gave it endlessly to family, friends, and anyone who was fortunate enough to know him. His generosity, kindness, and warmth will be missed by all who loved him.
Greg is survived by his wife and soulmate of fifteen years Stephany Francis Sullivan of Ruffin, South Carolina, their children: Alexander Michael (spouse Cruz Rodriquez) of Amarillo, Texas, Victoria Renae of San Antonio, Texas, Collin Matthew (spouse Tyler Cote) of Louisville, Kentucky, Gabrien Nathaniel of Amarillo, Texas, Clayton Neil See of Dewey, Arizona, Morgan Elizabeth of Ruffin, South Carolina, Braylen Nicholas of Ruffin, South Carolina, and stepson Ryan Barnum of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandson Ezra Gregory of Amarillo, Texas, and another grandchild due in August; parents Daniel and Sharon of Prescott, Arizona; mother-in-law Georgianna Francis Mayfield of Eagar, Arizona; siblings Matt (spouse Easter) of Prescott, Arizona, and Michelle Lee (spouse Brandon) of Prescott, Arizona; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Greg was proceeded in death by his grandparents Tom and Bertha Sullivan and Don and Polly Dunham, his brother-in-law Charles Norbury, and father-in-law Robert Francis.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, we take comfort in knowing that his love will live on in the memories we hold dear and the values he instilled in us. His legacy is one of love, kindness, and strength. Qualities that will continue to inspire us every day. In honoring his memory, we ask you to celebrate his life as he would have wanted. He would have wished for joy, not sorrow, and for those who loved him to continue spreading kindness just as he did throughout his life. A celebration of life will be held in Prescott, Arizona, in April 2025.
