Gretchen G. Sharp
Gretchen, 85 entered peacefully into the arms of the Lord, Jesus Christ from Saratoga Hospital after a long illness. Born in Schenectady,NY she was the daughter of the late Barbara Swart and Robert Male.
A graduate of Nott Terrace High school and Albany Business College, Gretchen worked as a Stenographer for the New York State Law Office.
She was married to her love Robert Sharp in 1962, having met at a Lake George, NY campground six years prior. Gretchen and Bob were known as Hansel and Gretel walking the forest trails at the campsite. She accompanied Bob on his U.S. Air force deployment to Florida,and the re-assignment to Newfoundland, Canada where their son Mark( the late Behnoosh) was born at Harmon Air Force Base. A second son followed, Michael, and a third son Jeffrey (Kimberly). The Lord God had blessed their life together.
Gretchen is pre-deceased by her sister Kirsten Bisgrove, ( the late Donald). She is survived by her loving husband Robert, her three sons and her dog Muffy.
She is also survived by her sister Jorinda Gershon(Robert) of Cape Neddick, ME, grandsons, Sean, Connor, Gavin, Adrian and Adam. Grandaughters, Nicole, Kira, And her sisters-in-law Nancy and Marie, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Thank you for her care at Baptist Health Rehab and Nursing Facility and Saratoga Hospital. Also thanks to Philip Hunter MD,OMD and his nursing staff for many years of compassionate care, Also to friends and many good neighbors (Rosalie) for their help.
May Gretchen rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord and savior for all eternity.
A job accomplished, and well done. We will love you forever.
