Grover Thomas Moore

Grover Thomas Moore, age 77, of Henderson, KY, passed away a 1:35 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Grover worked as an electrical engineer for 18 years with Alcan Aluminum. He later worked for several other local companies until his retirement in 2012. Grover was a member of Fairview Church of Christ in Dixon, KY. He was an avid UK basketball and football fan and also a St. Louis Cardinal fan. Grover was very social and enjoyed going out to eat and a good bargain. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren were his greatest joy.
Grover was preceded in death by his parents Cosby and Nellodyne Moore.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Faye Moore of Henderson, KY; daughters Deena Marie Carter (Joseph) of Robards, KY and Krista Renae Shields (Rob) of Henderson, KY; son Christopher Moore (Kristen) of Henderson, KY; and grandchildren: Blake Cannon, Parker Cannon, Cali Cannon, Addie Moore, Abe Moore, and Abbie Joy.
Relatives and friends are invited to Grover's Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025 and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Sam Hinkson officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY.
Pallbearers will be Blake Cannon, Parker Cannon, Barry Whitledge, Glen Whitledge, Tim McCracken, and Dustin McCord. Honorary pallbearer will be Tony McCracken.
