Gunvantbala Hariprasad Tripathi

Gunvantbala Hariprasad Tripathi, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Born on October 22, 1939, in Sarkhej, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, to her parents, the late Jagannath Tripathi and the late Dhanlaxmiben Tripathi. She lived a life devoted to family, education, and service. She later made her home in Sterling Heights, Michigan, where she spent her later years surrounded by loved ones.

Gunvantbala was the beloved wife of Hariprasad Devshanker Tripathi. The couple were married on May 5, 1960, in Sarkhej, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, and shared a long and devoted marriage.

She was a loving mother to Vipulkumar and Jigna Tripathi, Shamik and Trupti Tripathi, and Kiranben and Ajay Dave. She was a proud grandmother to Aalok and Janki Dave, Hardik and Mayura Tripathi, Vraj Tripathi, Darsh Tripathi, and Aakash Dave. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Aavyan Dave, Cyrav Dave, and Krish Tripathi.

Gunvantbala was preceded in death by her siblings the late Rameshchandra Tripathi, and the late Jagdishchandra Tripathi. She is survived by her siblings Manherbala Tripathi, Hashmukheben Tripathi, Harshavardhan Tripathi, Dhananjay Tripathi, and Vasudha Tripathi.

A dedicated school teacher by profession, Gunvantbala was known for her commitment to education, her gentle guidance, and her nurturing spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 9th from 10am until 11am at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home (8459 Hall Rd. Utica, MI 48317).
