Gwendolyn "Gwen" M. Kesselring, 83, of Montrose, IA, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 5 AM at the Montrose Health Center.
She was born on October 6, 1941 in Memphis, MO to Wallace and Nellie Bergthold Matlock. Gwen worked at Dial working various posititions and retired in 2003 after thirty years of service. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She also enjoyed crocheting, her get togethers with former co-workers and her animals. Most of all Gwen loved spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren's activities.
Survivors include two daughters, Kerri (Marvin) Conlee of Argyle and Allison Kirchner of Donnellson; one son, Chad (Pam) Kesselring of Montrose; six grandchildren, Blake, Savannah, Ceara, Tosha, Abby & Ryle; six great grandchildren, Gunner, Vivian, Cameron, Bryson, Brinley & Colby; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Gordon Matlock; a son in law, Jody Kirchner and her longtime friend, Marty VanPelt.
Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will meet with friends on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 9:30 AM-11 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The memorial service will follow at 11 AM with Rev. Larry Wallingford officiating.
A memorial has been established for PAW Animal Shelter and online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
