H.B. Dilbeck Jr.

H.B. Dilbeck Jr., age 85, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on Monday, October 10, 1938 in Big Fork, Arkansas to Harvey and Beulah Dilbeck.
H.B. Dilbeck, a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Army, passed away after a life dedicated to service and family. He served four years in the Air Force and six years in the Army during the Vietnam War, embodying the spirit of patriotism and commitment. He was a truck driver by trade, and he was married to Korine Dilbeck from 1970 to 1979 and always wished God's blessings upon her. H.B. cherished his family above all else and found joy in tinkering with old cars, a hobby that reflected his hands-on nature. He was also big into gun trading, and enjoyed making good trades with his friends. An aficionado of country and bluegrass music, he spent many evenings enjoying the sounds that resonated with his heart. Later in life, H.B. was a valued employee at Rose Aircraft, where his dedication and skill were greatly appreciated. His legacy of love, service, and passion will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Jimmie B. Dilbeck, Berlin E. Dilbeck, and Herbert J. Dilbeck.
H.B. is survived by his son, Michael H. Dilbeck; one daughter, Rhonda K. Dilbeck; one brother, Johnny W. Dilbeck of Hot Springs, Arkansas; three sisters and brother in law, Eula Mae Bass of Boles, Arkansas, Selena Faye Dilbeck of Fort Smith, and Minnie P. and Kenneth Cossey of Mena; sister in law, Maxine Dilbeck; good friend and ex brother in law, Roy Powell; several nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mena First Assembly of God in Mena, Arkansas with Brother Ron Tilley and Brother Brad Dick officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Cherry Hill Cemetery in Cherry Hill, Arkansas under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena. Visitation will be general from 10:00 - 5:00 on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Bowser Family Funeral Home.
