Hannah Mae McDill, 24, ran into the arms of Jesus on December 7, 2024. She was surrounded by her mother, father, brother and sister.
Sweet Hannah Mae was born on June 27, 2000 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Hannah attended school in Cedar Rapids, IA; Anamosa, IA; Falcon, CO; and Colorado Springs, CO. She wasn't a fan of school and would often "fake sleep" to get out of doing her work.
Princess Hannah ran the show from the moment she was born. She loved getting Daddy Snuggles, rolling her eyes at her mother, Bestie Night with her brother, and reading with her sister. Her favorite vacation spot was grandma and grandpa's farm.
She radiated love to everyone she met. If you took the time to get to know her, that love grew exponentially!! She LOVED WELL!
Hannah attended church with her family when she was well and could often be heard snoring in the back row.
A fierce fighter, like no other, Hannah endured over 180 hospital stays, three palliative care, and three Hospice stays in her short lifetime. During that time, she met so many beautiful people. We extend our gratitude to our family and friends; doctors, therapists, nurses, medical specialists, teachers and aides who supported and loved her through the years.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, David and Sandra; her brother, Colin and sister, Faith; grandmother, Lorretta Callon of Rolfe, IA; bonus grandparents, Bill and Phyllis Hodina of Cedar Rapids, IA; many aunts and uncles, cousins, and special friends.
We will deeply miss our princess who made us all better with her presence.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following organizations in memory of Hannah:
Make-a-Wish Foundation of Colorado
Tim Tebow Foundation, A Night to Shine
