Harold Chambers, a devoted family man and retired farmer, peacefully passed away on December 1, 2025, in Commerce, Georgia, at the age of 86. Born on April 21, 1939, in Hiawassee, Georgia, Harold lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep sense of community.
Harold's commitment to service extended beyond his farming career, having proudly served in the United States Army. His love for his country was only matched by his love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Fountain Chambers, and his sister, Gladys Chambers Kettler.
Harold's legacy is marked by the memory of those who have preceded him in death: his parents, Ed and Ruth Garrett Chambers; his son, Harold Lee Chambers; his sister, Glenda Chambers Chenault; and his grandson, Harold Lewis Chambers. Each of them held a special place in Harold's heart, and their memories continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
A visitation to honor Harold will be held at Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce, Georgia, on December 8, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on December 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM, also at Ivie Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jackson Memorial Gardens.
