Harold Haskell Clemmons - age 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Knoxville, Tennessee, on February 7, 2026. He was born in Greeneville, Tennessee, and moved to Knoxville after living in Kingsport.

Harold served in the United States Army. He pursued higher education at East Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee of Knoxville, where he earned a degree in civil engineering. He devoted more than 48 years of service to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, reflecting his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic.

A faithful member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church, Harold was a devoted participant in the McCarty's Sunday School Class, where he valued fellowship and service. He enjoyed history, cars, sports, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Lucille Clemmons.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Evelyn Collins Clemmons; son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Katye Clemmons; and grandson, Kohl (Karley).

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Bridges Funeral Home. A private Graveside Service will be held at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, with Pastor Christi Prater officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the McCarty's Sunday School Class at Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church or East Tennessee Historical Society of Knoxville.

Pallbearers: Barry Armstrong, David Givens, Todd Hill, Weston Hill, Mark Johnson, and Scott Prater.
