Harold Hessel Obituary

Harold was born on October 10, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, to Nathan Hessel and Rachel (Ray) Froelich. He graduated from Brooklyn Tech and went on to earn his degree from New York University. Harold built a distinguished career as President and CEO of Stewart-Hall Chemical Corporation, where his leadership and business acumen left a lasting impact.
Harold was married to Naomi Suconick Chaikind in 1974, sharing 51 wonderful years together. He was predeceased by his first wife, Renee Miller Hessel. Harold was a devoted father and cherished patriarch who took great pride in his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Naomi S. Hessel, and his six children: Nancy Hessel Gross (David), Mark Hessel (Terri), Gail Hessel Goodman (Michael), Deborah Chaikind, Maura Chaikind Milles (Doug), and Alyssa Chaikind. Harold's legacy lives on through his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 3rd, at 3:00pm at Congregation Agudath Sholom. Burial will follow at Congregation Agudath Sholom Cemetery.
