In loving memory of Harold Leslie Howard. Harold passed suddenly on May 10, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born on September 7, 1946 to loving parents Hubert and Elva Howard in Garden City Kansas. He was the 5th of 8 siblings.
As a young boy Harold and his family moved to Utah in 1949, settling in Brigham City in 1957. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1964 and went on to serve 18 months active duty in the army and 4 more years in the reserves.
Harold joined the Box Elder County Sheriff's Department from 1970-1973. During that time he also attended Weber State College where he earned his Bachelors of Police Science. Harold then joined the Brigham City Police Department moving up in rank to sergeant until he retired in 1998. He then spent many years with his NUCOR family until he fully retired in 2010.
Harold loved nothing more than riding his motorcycle, being on the golf course, daily morning cups of coffee at J&D's and of course spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Elva Howard, brothers Jimmy Dale and Richard Allen, a niece Lisa Bench, and a nephew Richard Wilkins.
Harold is survived by his siblings Doris (Jim) Land, Billie (Cynthia) Howard, DeVern (Claudia) Howard, Gerald (Teri) Howard and Janice (Craig) Searle. Also surviving are his beloved children Michelle Whitlock, Shawn (Nicky) Howard, Kelly (Jeremiah) Kincaid and 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his ex-wife and life long friend Kathy Howell.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, Utah. The funeral will be on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City Cemetery, 300 East 300 South, Brigham City, Utah.
