Harold Rush Limbaugh, 89, of Cuba, Missouri, passed away early Wednesday, September, 3, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

Harold was born June 27, 1936 in St. Louis to his parents, William Limbaugh and Helen Tucker. Growing up his mother remarried and he was raised with the last name Stacy and then upon entering the Air Force he became aware of his father, William Rush Limbaugh. He served in the US Air Force and after six months, was honorably discharged to return home after a serious injury to his stepfather to help provide for his family.

He married Viola Sharp and together they had two children, Judith Yvonne and Jeffrey Louis as well as an adopted daughter, Janet Lynn Shea. Harold later remarried his second wife, Juanita Headrick, and he inherited two stepchildren, James Headrick and Cynthia Headrick.

Harold worked for Chrysler for many years before hauling freight cross-country, finally retiring from hauling fuel in a tanker truck in his hometown of Cuba. Once retired, he was actively involved with family, caring for the needs of young and old. He was witty and always offered unique ways to look at life, lightening the load and uplifting spirits.

Harold is survived by his children: Judith Pennock and husband, Joe of Sullivan, MO, Janet Shea of Malta, MO, Jim Headrick and wife, Laura of Owensville, MO; his former wife, Juanita; his children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Limbaugh and daughter, Cynthia Paul; his parents; and four half-sisters: Ruth, Sandra, Sue, and Joyce.

Services will be 11:30 AM, Monday, September 15, 2025 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis with Pastor Erik Williams officiating. Full military honors will be performed. Cremation has taken place.
