Harold Pettit, age 89, of Independence, KY, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, in Perry Park, KY. He was a retired Electrical Engineer, having previously served as Vice President of Gold Metal Products Company, President of Metal Craft Machine and Engineering, and as an Engineer at Nutone, Inc. Harold's faith was an important part of his life. He was a long-time member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and previously served as a Deacon and on other church committees. He is survived by his wife (of 34 years), Phyllis Payne Chapman Pettit; son, Steve Pettit (Ella), daughters, Robin Morrison and Suzanne Piper-Baird (Jim); step-children, Jennifer Rimer (Mike), Rivers Chapman (Karen), Julie Schreiber (Todd), and Chad Chapman (Megan); twelve grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
