Tony was born on October 28, 1946, in Saltville, Virginia, the son of the late Harry S. Doane, and Susie L. Burgess Doane. He was a carpenter and loved woodworking and making furniture.
Surviving are one daughter, Tina M. Doane (Rob Cansler) of Augusta, WV; three grandchildren, Malika Strawder, C. Durrell Strawder, and Aleecia Strawder; two great-grandchildren, Micah Townsend and Kimora Strawder; one brother, Bobby Doane of Frederick, MD.
Tony was preceded in death by his wife, L. Darlene Doane and a son, Harry L. "Little Tony" Doane, Jr.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
Arrangements by Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory, Capon Bridge, WV.
