Harry Paul Kellogg, Jr., age 87, of O Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on January 7, 1935, to Harry and Jeanette Kellogg, (nee Schaeffer).
Harry graduated from Bayless High School in 1953 and went on to graduate from Parks College of St. Louis University. He became a hydraulics engineer with McDonnell Douglas, (now Boeing), for 35+ years to support his family.
Besides being a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, Harry was a man of many talents.
In his earlier years, Harry enjoyed bowling in a league, playing saxophone in a local band, and as the years went on, any other instrument he got his hands on guitar, piano, and harmonica, to name a few. He also loved to garden. Vegetables and herbs were his specialties. After retirement, Harry enjoyed the gardens of his dreams, on his property in Arcadia, and even was successful in growing a small grape vineyard there. Creating custom wooden knife cases also became a hobby for Harry.
Harry is survived by his fiancé, Judy Hoogstra of O'Fallon, Missouri; Two sons, Alan Paul Kellogg of Irving, Texas, Andrew Charles (Mary) Kellogg of Truesdale, Missouri: Three daughters, Susan Marie (Michael) Dvorak of Brentwood, New Hampshire, Julia Anne (Kim) Kellogg of Maryland Heights, Missouri and Sarah Jeanette (Jeffrey) Reiter of Fenton, Missouri. He is also survived by his sister Karen Miller of St. Charles, Missouri. Harry has 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Arlene A. Kellogg (nee Alderson), father, Harry Paul Kellogg, Sr., and his mother Jeanette Matilda Kellogg (nee Schaeffer).
